Emotions

Top five human emotions most prominently evoked are:

  1. Enthusiasm, Appreciation, and Approval This is overwhelmingly the most evident emotion, expressed through frequent positive feedback, exclamations, and emojis. Participants use terms such as “Great”, “Awesome”, “Wonderful”, “Fantastic”, “Stunning”, and “Loved”. The widespread use of “👍” (thumbs up), “❤️” (hearts), “🥳” (party poppers), “🔥” (fire), and “⭐” (stars) further underscores a strong sense of positive reception and excitement for presentations, ideas, and general engagement. Many refer to presentations as “very strong” and “needed”. One participant notes that a pitch “Seems to be firing on all cylinders as a great investor focused pitch”.
  2. Gratitude and Thankfulness This emotion is pervasive, with many participants directly expressing thanks for the event, the content, and the opportunity to connect. Examples include “Thanks so much”, “Thank you” (repeated numerous times), “Grateful for this network”, and “Thank you, Lions Den, for such outstanding content today”. Participants also offer blessings, such as “Blessings all around!”.
  3. Desire for Connection and Community A strong sense of community and a wish to connect with others are evident throughout the chat. Many introduce themselves and their locations, such as “Hello All, This is Girum from Ethiopia”, “Austin, TX”, “Attending from Brazil!”, “Hello from beautiful Colorado!”, and “Hello from India 🇮🇳“. Participants frequently share contact information like LinkedIn profiles and email addresses, explicitly stating their desire to connect with “fellow believers from this network” and looking forward to “connecting with y’all!”. Brother Wolf expresses a desire to “get to meet and know all of you as we move forward in the Lord and in my entrepreneur beginning”.
  4. Support and Encouragement Participants actively offer encouragement and support to presenters and fellow attendees. This is shown through phrases like “Keep up the great work”, “Best wishes and prayers ahead!”, “So encouraging”, “So needed!!”, and direct offers to “be praying for you”. There is an understanding of challenges, such as the difficulty of hitting on Christian themes in the UK, followed by encouragement to succeed despite them.
  5. Curiosity and Intrigue Participants show a clear emotional state of curiosity by asking detailed questions about the presentations and platforms. Examples include queries about bypassing IP laws, how new Christian films can be on a platform for distribution, investment opportunities, and how a service compares to existing ones like Google TV. Exclamations like “Fascinating!!!” and “Love the replacing words …wow” also demonstrate intellectual engagement and intrigue.
