Key Themes of the Participants

The conversation focused heavily on faith-based ventures, media technology, investment, and networking:

  1. Faith, Revival, and Kingdom Impact: There is a clear goal among many participants to share God’s love and build Kingdom impact. The importance of making Jesus and the process of making disciples were highlighted. Discussions specifically centered on an “awakening” and “pre-revival” stage happening in the UK, evidenced by growing church attendance, especially among Gen Z, and an 87% increase in Bible Sales.
  2. Media, Animation, and Film Technology: Several organizations are involved in animation (BrainyPixel, Imagination Bay). There was significant interest in new films, film distribution, and addressing low budgets for independent producers.
  3. Content Filtering and AI: A major presentation focused on a new streaming service (MyStreme) which uses technology and AI to allow users to filter for what they don’t want to see. This technology was compared to Vid Angel and prompted questions about IP laws and potential infringement due to patents related to recommendation engines.
  4. Social Service and Challenging Transitions: Several organizations target specific societal needs, such as helping young people face emotions without drugs (and with God), aiding people in reentry from prison, and assisting in recovery from substance use disorder.
  5. Investment and Business Strategy: Participants sought information on investment opportunities with STREAM. Feedback was given to presenters, including suggestions to show a 1-slide investment overview and to identify the problem up front, and the solution. There was also discussion on how companies can scale through embedded executive leadership.
  6. Networking and Future Events: Attendees consistently shared contact information (LinkedIn, email). Hosts (Lion’s Den, Grace) were thanked for the “terrific event” and for fostering an “encouraging” network. Future participation in the Mediasphere virtual summit ICVM on June 27 was mentioned.
